DOCNC Tubestock West

Join us for DOCNC's 1st Annual Tube Stock West!

Can't wait another eleven months for Winter Carnival West? Good news! You don't have to! This year, on the weekend of August 19-20, the 1st Annual Tube Stock West celebration will be hosted by the Dartmouth Outing Club of Northern California at the DOCNC cabin up in Donner Pass. Please join us for a weekend of revelry including hiking, biking, lakeside lounging, a summertime installment of Winter Carnival West's "Pink Time" on the sunny shores of Lake Mary (featuring a pong tournament), and of course, a traditional Dartmouth Feed Saturday night.

It’s free to join any or all of these events, and $65 to reserve a bed at the DOCNC cabin for the weekend. Please save the date, get excited, and send any questions/reservation requests to Brendan Nagle at bf.nagle@gmail.com.This is also a great opportunity for new or potential members, especially young alumni, to get to know the club and the cabin. During the weekend, there will be an orientation session on cabin use, which is now required for anyone who wants to reserve the cabin.

Club Updates

2017 Dues Update

Dues can now be paid online!

Since its inception in 1881, The Dartmouth Club of Greater San Francisco (DCGSF) has been planning events and activities to cultivate camaraderie, service and intellectual life among Bay Area alumni of Dartmouth College.  The Club's activities include academic lectures, social and networking opportunities, community service events, cultural activities, and ways to explore the best of northern California outdoors.  The DCGSF membership includes people of all ages, backgrounds, and professions, with ties to the undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools of Dartmouth.  The group includes parents and significant others of alumni as well.  In short, we strive to represent Dartmouth in the local community.

As a dues-paying member, you will receive the following benefits and opportunities:

  • Invitations to interesting, fun, and rewarding events with fellow Dartmouth alums
  • Notification of official College events held locally
  • Monthly newsletters and special event reminders
  • Opportunities to support our scholarship fund, Book Awards, and alumni interviewing activities to strengthen the Dartmouth presence in greater San Francisco
  • Access to other Alumni Clubs
We rely on your support to sustain this organization and fund events. The DCGSF is self-funded.

Dartmouth Alumni of the Bay Area (DABA) LinkedIn Group!

Dartmouth Bay Area Alumni! DCGSF and DAASV are excited to announce that we are collaborating more closely across our two area clubs with the hopes of providing you with a greater diversity of programming and more seamless communications about this programming.

A first step is to create a single LinkedIn community because we’ve heard from many of you that you would benefit from a unified professional network. You’ll see a new name for this LinkedIn group, too – Dartmouth Alumni of the Bay Area (DABA). We worked hard to choose a name that incorporates all alumni – and we’re welcoming of all parents, partners and Dartmouth community members, too. This doesn’t mean that your club’s name is changing, or that there’s another organization that’s going to ask you for dues. The two clubs will continue to operate separately, but we will continue to collaborate where it makes sense for all of you, the broader Dartmouth community in the Bay Area.

So if you haven’t already, please join the new DABA LinkedIn group. The DABA group will serve as the primary LinkedIn presence for Dartmouth Alumni in Northern California and Nevada. Also, let us know if you have any ideas or if you are interested in joining our efforts. We are looking forward to working together more closely as regional clubs and for you, our Bay Area alumni!

The Dartmouth Club of Greater San Francisco is always looking for new ideas for events and for alumni who are excited about planning events.  Discussion groups, dinners, movies, concerts -- whatever it may be! --we would love to work with you to make it happen.

We are also always looking for venues for hosting group events of all sizes- if you have or know of a space that would be a great place to have an event -  please let us know!

Please contact us here to find out more about planning and/or hosting events with us. We look forward to hearing from you!

Thank You For Supporting the Club with Annual Dues

To all Greater San Francisco alums who are current on payment of your annual dues, we thank you for your support.  If you have not paid your annual dues this fiscal year ending June 30th, we would be grateful for your support.

We are a non-profit alumni club that seeks to cultivate camaraderie, service and intellectual life among Dartmouth alumni in the bay area.  As members you get the benefit of attendance at interesting, rewarding and fun events planned by the club, the College and other Alumni clubs.  Your dues cover our organizational expenses, help cover event costs, and most importantly support our College's presence in the bay area with important outreach like alumni interviewing and scholarships for local students.

Dues payment by check or paypal is accepted here.
